Samuel Martínez Roque’s academic work bridges aging, urban planning, and spatial science. His research examines how urban structure influences population health, emergency care accessibility, mobility, and social vulnerability. He has contributed to studies on prehospital medical systems, spatial analysis and transport, and caregiver mental health, elder care infrastructure. His technical research strengths include GIS-based triangulation methods, multi-indicator index design, geostatistical modeling, and large-scale data curation. Trained in Gerontology (BSc Hons), Urban Planning and Development (MSc), and doctoral-level Geography (PhD studies interrupted during COVID-19), he has presented his work internationally and continues to develop interdisciplinary frameworks that link spatial analysis, public health research, and urban systems science.
