Laundering of Immigrant Labor Exploitation Through the Myth of the Drug Cartel Power
Martínez Roque v. Ontiveros is a civil action filed in El Paso, Texas, arising from Samuel Martínez Roque’s employment at Floor Ko, LLC (September 2021–August 2024), alleging that Ramon Ontiveros, Alex Armengol, and associated actors, engaged in a coordinated scheme of human trafficking–related conduct, including forced labor, labor exploitation, peonage, wage withholding and theft, deprivation of basic necessities, coercion through immigration-status threats, fraud, extortion, cyber and identity-based misconduct, harassment, stalking, and abuse of legal process, followed by a continuing post-employment campaign of retaliation, intimidation, impersonation, evidence tampering, obstruction of justice, and interference with lawful work and income; the lawsuit asserts that these acts constitute a single, ongoing pattern of coercion and control extending beyond employment, violating federal and Texas law, and seeks civil relief for human trafficking-related harms, retaliation, civil-rights abuses, financial misconduct, and conspiracy, with additional claims to be developed through discovery.
